photo restoration

"Photos are forever." That used to be a bit of a farce. It would have been more accurate to say, "Photos are for as long as the paper upon which they're printed will last." But not anymore! Now, photos truly are "forever."

Advanced photo editing software makes it easier than ever before to restore old photographs. The problem is that software can cost in excess of $600, making restoring your old photos an expensive venture.

The solution? Let Garrett Multimedia restore your old photographs for you. Torn photos, worn photos, or photos with any number of imperfections are no problem, and can be restored to look just as good as the original. In some cases, they look even better than the original.

Garrett Multimedia can also use a variety of special techniques to improve your photo. Want to make a blue sky cloudy? Want to apply a gaussian blur to the background? Want to make your subject stand out from the rest of the picture? Contact us today to see the many ways we can bring your photographs to life!

COST: $25 per hour (billed in 15-minute increments), plus cost of prints

PHOTO RESTORATION FAQ

Q :: Can you restore copyrighted pictures that I have purchased?
A :: No! If the print carries a copyright, the image is prohibited from being duplicated. We can only restore prints that are protected by copyright if we have written permission from the copyright holder.

Q :: Can I purchase photo restoration without purchasing prints?
A :: Yes! We will save your restored photos in digital format and put them on a CD. You can then make prints on your home printer, take them to a photo lab (such as at Wal-Mart or Walgreens), or simply save the digital images for future use.

Q :: How do I get my pictures to you?
A :: Contact us today to arrange for us to pick up your photos. We can meet you to pick up your prints, or you can email the actual prints to us. Or, if the pictures are in digital format, you can "burn" them to a CD and mail them to us (or arrange for pickup) or they can be emailed to us.

Q :: If my images are already scanned, what size should I reduce them to before sending them?
A :: Please don't! The larger the image, the better. Images require a smaller resolution to view on your computer monitor than to print. An image with a low resolution of 72 dpi looks good on your screen, but would not look good when printed to photo paper.
